Google has updated the Android SDK again with an improvement that many claimed, a significant increase in the speed of the system emulator on the computer.

When developing applications there are many tools that we can use but the most normal is to use the Android SDK. This service, which can also serve to unlock the bootloader of a mobile in the event that we are interested, has several tools built in, one of which is the emulator.

As its name implies, this program allows to emulate Android in a computer, which is where we will be programming our application. The problem is that for a long time this emulator has been very slow and the developers were rightly complaining about it.

Now Google has taken to the issue and has drastically improved the speed of the same on computers.

Several orders of magnitude faster

Google itself has highlighted this improvement among all that comes with version 25.3 which is the one corresponding to the month of February this year. In particular he has ensured that the communication between the emulated software and the computer system is several orders of magnitude faster, which is not a minor issue.

ADB access, 3D rendering, and all sorts of tasks should now run much better than in previous versions.

Other enhancements include improved sound support, compatibility with GLES 2.0 and IPV6 and other minor changes.

Another new feature is that Google has released the final version of the SDK that allows to create applications for Android Wear 2.0, which was presented yesterday and that is compatible with several smart watches that will receive the update in the coming days.

These applications will have the design more focused to Material Design and can be installed directly in the clock from the own clock.

As we have commented these are the implementations that will be found in version 25.3 of the Android SDK, which can now be downloaded from the Google website, or we can update the previous version directly from our computer.
