The presentation of the new BlackBerry is this very afternoon, practically starts the Mobile World Congress, but we can already anticipate what its appearance and its main features. It's called BlackBerry KEYone.

We have been following this phone with other names, from BlackBerry Mercury to DTEK70, but it always represented the same idea: a device with Android operating system and the use of physical keyboard, detail by which has made known the Canadian company. Well, to the previous company.

To put it better we have to say that BlackBerry KEYONE is a device created by the American TCT Communication, which in turn is a company belonging to China's TCL, the same company that owns Alcatel.

BlackBerry became famous with QWERTY keyboards, now joins them to the omnipresent Android operating system

She is the owner of the brand and wants to take advantage of it in the West, in addition to doing so from an initial point, without using any Alcatel phone to create the new model.

A not very powerful flagship

Obviously here we need touchscreen to use Android, and that screen is 4.5 inches with a fairly square aspect ratio - 3: 2 - and a resolution different than usual: 1,620x1,080 pixels.

Despite being considered the new major BlackBerry phone, its heart is a Snapdragon 625, which is more normal to find it in a powerful midrange. Another important detail we know is that its battery is 3.505 mAh, with quick charge Quick Charge 3.0.

The RAM is 3GB, while the storage stays at 32GB and is expandable by card. Dimensions are not bad for carrying keyboard: 149.3 x 72.5 x 9.4mm, and weighs 180 grams. The connector that is left on the bottom is a USB 3.1 Type-C.

Mid-range phone, the technological distinctive clearly puts the keyboard 'physical and tactile'

The physical keyboard is backlit and responds to the touch without having to be pressed, like a touchpad. They tell us that up to 52 shortcuts can be made with it - long pulse - and it has an integrated fingerprint sensor.

For those who like a well-constructed terminal, say that you have opted for aluminum along with a soft texture on the back. We finished with the camera, which is 12 megapixels signed by Sony (it is an IMX378 sensor). The front is 8 megapixels.

Very good looks that back camera, is the same sensor that Google Pixel

With the latest Android, 599 euros

Well, the latest thing is that it has Android Nougat 7.1, with some own things like BlackBerry, with the intention of creating the safest Android in the market. For now no price or departure dates, this afternoon we will expand information.

The product is quite interesting, because of the difference it proposes in the Android world, but also can fall into the same problem that had previous BlackBerry: the price, since we are asked 599 euros. That's a high amount for your hardware level, and it can penalize you a lot.

Blackberry wants to take advantage of its new manufacturer and expect to enter forcefully in the Asian market, with everything new Android, such as Android Nougat 7.1, with a phone with physical keyboard, so as not to lose the detail that always characterized with good characteristics of its Hardware and a price nothing exaggerated just for 599 Euros, returns Blackberry KEYone.
